Hi friends,
Boy oh boy its been a month.
On Vasectomies:
Melissa and I about 4 years ago talked about not having biological children. There are many reasons we felt this way, and all of them became more concrete as time went on. We decided it was best to give ourselves between 3- 5 years before we made a final decision. Well, now in the year of our Gourd 2026, we decided it was time. I’m not sure our minds would change if the world were completely different and safe, but in this existing timeline, we felt it was the right decision not to. We also really enjoy our lives as they are, and don’t want to knowingly bring a person into this world and take that responsibility on.
We are godparents to 3 of our wonderful nieces/nephew and we love being aunt/uncle to our other nieces/nephews and also being “aunt/uncle” to the kids in our neighborhood. We feel that’s our life path, and we are very open to fostering in the future as well.
So we decided to go for it. Earlier this month, I went and got my vasectomy. It was super quick (20 min tops) and cost about $600. The healing process has been relatively easy; the first week was a little tough, having to be immobile so I can heal. 3 weeks in and my incisions are almost healed, and I can get out and go on my walks again. I never experienced any swelling or infections, so I am thankful.
If you’ve got a penis, you’ve decided you dont want kids, and are waiting for a sign, go get a vasectomy. Way less invasive than any procedure a woman would have to get to prevent pregnancy.
Graduation:
My godchild/niece Solace, graduated 8th grade, so Melissa and I flew to Harlem to celebrate and attend her graduation. Why do kids grow up?? She is becoming a whole ass person, and I just can’t.
We also went and saw Daisy Grenade live, along with Stupid Lucky and Vienna Vienna, and none of them disappointed. Incredible time.
Here are a few photos from the trip/graduation:

Does anybody know how to hide a body?
Shovel and some rope
Pretend you never saw me
I'm running out of time and I'm broke
And I kinda need to know how to hide a body
Does anybody know
How to hide a, how to hide a body?
Song of the week

What am I smoking?
This cigar was special. The $100 cigar “Alma del Fuego Ometepe Edición Limitada, a limited edition that the company says is the first cigar to use a wrapper grown on the volcanic island of Ometepe in Lake Nicaragua. The island is home to two volcanoes—Concepción and Maderas—which are connected by a small lowland area. Plasencia named the strand of tobacco Hoja del Fuego, or blade of fire. The binder and filler also come from Nicaragua, though Plasencia disclosed neither the regions nor the varietals used.”
I got one of these for my brother Luke for Christmas last year, and got one for myself as well. We waited 6 months for the right day, and enjoyed the hell out of these with a dark rum from Guatemala called Zacapa. It was so rich and sugary that it complemented the cigar really well.

Blender - Nestor Andres Plasencia
Origin - Nicaragua
Wrapper - Nicaragua (Ometepe)
Filler - Nicaragua
Binder - Nicaragua
Body - Medium - Full
